One of the first things I would like to cover is why would you want to take a fly fishing vacation.  As you know all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.  Well my choice for relieving stress, getting away from the headaches of work and just unwinding in general, has been fly fishing.  Just recently have I looked into the possibility of taking a vacation and combining it with my love for fly fishing and I must say the potential exists to make a fly fishing vaction one of the best times of your life.

It doesn’t matter where you go or to enjoy a fly fishing vacation the possible locations are endless.  There are cruises in Alaska that are designed specifically around fly fishing trips as well as tropical caribeean cruises that allow you to enjoy saltwater fly fishing.  If cruises aren’t your thing Canada and many of the northern parts of the United States offer very high quality fishing lodges, guided fly fishing trips, and other fly fishing vacation options.

Taking a fly fishing vacation is also a good way to get some healthy outdoor exercise added to your life.  What you don’t thing fly fishing is exercise?  Well you can explain that one to me when you get back after a hard day of wading a stream against the strong current, or hiking to the secluded fly fishing hole.  In addition to the walking, hiking and standing involved there is the constant motion that fly casting itself requires.  Anyone that hasn’t been fly fishing in a while can tell you the arm can get pretty sore the next day.  So don’t thing of a fly fishing vacation just a rest and relaxation its also a healthy exercise alternative.

I hope to spend time covering each of the various fly fishing vacation ideas and offer you valuable reviews of the fly fishing lodges, mountain cabins and fly fishing destinations available for your enjoyment.
